Lauren + Kevin : Long Hollow Gardens Wedding

We adore winter weddings!! Candlelight, warm fires, hot chocolate, and allllll the warm and cozy things make winter weddings so amazing….  Lauren and Kevin knew from the beginning that they didn’t want to have a wedding in the summer heat. They both are from Texas, and being hot and uncomfortable on their wedding day was not something they envisioned. So they decided to plan a cozy winter wedding! Finding a great venue for a winter wedding in Middle Tennessee can be a challenge, as many non-church venues don’t have a ton of indoor space. Long Hollow Gardens just outside of Nashville, TN was the perfect fit for them. This was my first time working at Long Hollow and it did NOT disappoint! Not only is Long Hollow stunningly beautiful, it also had plenty of indoor space to stylishly accommodate all of their guests. I adored all of the beautiful indoor gardens, with fountains and greenery-accented chandeliers, and cozy accents like plush couches and welcoming seating areas. Lauren and Kevin were a dream to work with, they are such a fun couple (and very photogenic!) Their families and bridal party were so sweet and I enjoyed meeting all of them! Their event was stylishly designed by wedding planner Alex Bovee of Vision in White Events <3 <3

From the bride:

“Although we both grew up in the same town (about 1 mile apart from each other), we didn’t meet until we were in college in Austin, TX. My freshman year, I was living with a roommate that went to high school with Kevin. She invited him to our dorm room one night to hang out and we became friends. Fast forward to 2014 when we ended up living at the same apartment complex in uptown Dallas. We reignited our friendship and began dating in 2016. Kevin proposed on February 8th 2020 while our entire families watched from afar. We then walked into a bar to celebrate the occasion and to my surprise, all our friends were there to celebrate with us. It was an amazing night!

We started planning our wedding in April 2020… prime pandemic time. We had to pick a venue without actually visiting it in person due to covid restrictions, which was a huge challenge. We knew we wanted a winter wedding and fell in love with the Long Hollow Gardens venue after seeing beautiful winter wedding pictures on their website. We loved the greenhouse feel and were excited to show our friends and family a different side of Nashville. The most important part of the wedding day is having all the people you love most in the same room together for a joyous occasion. Especially after the pandemic and not seeing so many friends and family… this will be especially sweet this year.”

Most of Kevin and Lauren’s family traveled to Nashville from Houston, Texas area for their destination wedding. Kevin and Lauren prepped separately, and then did a private moment before the ceremony. Although the day was windy and cold, the bridal party were troopers and opted for outdoor photos! Everyone stayed bundled up in between photos and for the ceremony. Their vows were so sweet and heartfelt, and they followed the ceremony with a beautiful indoor reception. Everyone had a great time dancing and eating amazing food surrounded by beautiful indoor gardens. Lauren and Kevin, congratulations!!! We wish you a lifetime of love and happiness and thank you for letting us be a part of your day 🙂

Stay tuned for all photos in their gallery, which will be posted in the next 24 hours!
