Lost River Cave Wedding //
We love a road trip!! Lost River Cave is just up the road in Bowling Green, Kentucky and it’s always a fun destination. Chelsey and Bobby were so much fun and we loved spending the day with them. How many couples can say they got married in a cave? It’s such an amazing spot and used to be a nightclub during the 1930’s. How cool is that?
Chelsey and her girls got ready in the River Birch House. We loved her eggplant dresses. Everyone looked so pretty!! Chelsey was adventurous and we did a little hiking to her first look destination. Somehow she made it look easy in a wedding dress and heels!! We were warned that Bobby did not like photos… but he was a great sport with an amazing sense of humor. A summer rain storm arrived just as we were finishing up wedding party photos. The bride’s stepfather showed up and rescued us (and our gear) in his truck. We managed to stay mostly dry!!
Chelsey and Bobby had a sweet, romantic candlelit ceremony in the mouth of the cave. It’s wonderful when there is so much love and support for a couple that you can feel it. And then we were off to another adventure…the wedding party took a boat ride through the cave. I’ve never been on a boat in a cave before!! All the guests had the opportunity to take the boat ride during the night.
Everyone settled in for dinner and drinks and dancing. We love the dance floor at Lost River, it’s just fantastic, and everyone had a blast.
Chelsey and Bobby…thanks so much for letting us spend the day with you. We can’t wait for the next adventure!!
