Lexy and Jack Jessee : Summer Wedding at Grace Valley Farm

Alexis and Jack tied the knot last weekend at Grace Valley Farms in Shelbyville, TN. I was so excited to photograph this wedding! Alexis grew up in Illinois riding horses, and ran with a lot of the same crew that I did. Even though we didn’t know each other personally, we have a lot of friends in common. After photographing her sister Morgan’s wedding a couple of years ago, I was SO excited when Lexy contacted me about possibly shooting her wedding as well.

These two have the coolest style. I loved their choice of bold colors for the wedding: deep navy blue shimmery sequin dresses for the bridesmaids, fuchsia accents for flowers and Jack’s vest, lots of lush greenery for the bouquets, and tons of shimmering gold accents for the reception. It was SO beautiful and unique! They also decided to throw in some fun smoke bombs for a photos, which made a perfect backdrop for night portraits.

The grounds at Grace Valley are beyond stunning. Lexy and Jack got married in a beautiful clearing in the woods, with a flowing waterfall and bubbling stream behind them. After their 2 chihuahuas ran down the aisle to join them (so fun!), they said their vows surrounded by family and friends.

After some family and bridal party photos, they joined their guests for dinner in the barn. Then they had a great time dancing and catching up with everyone at the reception!
