Wedding Day
We had so much fun with these two at their Green Door Gourmet wedding. Heather and I have known each other for quite a while now, and I was ecstatic when she asked me to photograph her wedding!
They picked the perfect fall day to tie the knot! The weather was crisp and sunny with no rain in sight. Heather and Jordan prepped separately in the bride’s room and groom’s area in the cottage. They opted not to see each other before the ceremony, so we photographed each part of the bridal party separately. I love the sense of humor both Jordan and Heather have! They are both laid back, super funny, and really enjoy having fun with their friends. Their personalities really come through in the photos- and the guys especially kept us laughing all afternoon with all of their “unique” posing ideas, bwhahaha!
After some laughs and fun before the ceremony, everyone started prepping and lining up. The flower girls were adorable and smiled the whole way down the aisle. As Heather and her father started their walk, everyone stood and all eyes were on them. We loved Heather’s radiant smile as she came down the aisle towards Jordan! They had a very sweet ceremony, led by Heather’s brother Michael.
After guests enjoyed cocktail hour, they all headed into the grand barn where everyone enjoyed a fun evening of dancing and great food! We especially loved the signature cocktails, named after their cats. How awesome is that?! And on a personal note, I loved seeing all of Heather’s CMT crew and getting to catch up with a few of them. Great seeing you all!
Heather and Jordan, thank you so much for letting us be a part of your wedding day! We loved spending the day with y’all -and hope you love your preview!

From the Bride:
Their story: Jordan and I met in the summer of 2010. I was sitting at home on a Saturday night and a friend of mine invited me out because she was with someone who was “really good looking and a really good dancer.” I was sold on the dancing part and ended up meeting a group of people out downtown, Jordan included. We bar-hopped, went to the now-closed Hollywood Disco and ended up at IHOP. The next day we met up at his apartment pool and then went to eat at Famous Daves. I haven’t stopped hanging out with him since. I still have the email I sent to my friends the morning after I met him.
How they chose their venue and colors/décor:
We both love the outdoors so I knew ideally we wanted to incorporate nature in some way. There are a bunch of farm-type venues further outside of Nashville, but it was actually a co-worker of mine who suggested I look at Green Door. My company had its holiday party there one year, but it was during the evening and dark so I never really saw the property. I went back during the day and fell in love immediately. It’s the perfect mix of outdoors, rustic-vibe, greenery, etc. and it’s so close to downtown! Anyone who knows me knows I love grays, white, gold. I thought dark gray was perfect for fall, contrasted with a pop of color from our fall flowers. The gold is sprinkled throughout – whether that’s with different gold mercury candles, gold flatware, gold straws at the bar, or gold font on some of our different signs.
Favorite parts of the wedding:
Really just being in the presence of all of our family and favorite people, and knowing that everyone had a good time. We were of course excited for the music and dancing (we love to dance) and our wedding cake and cheesecake!
