Elizabeth and Jacob had the most beautiful wedding last weekend at Scarritt Bennett here in Nashville, TN! Straight out of a fairytale, their wedding was elegant, emotional, beautiful and basically…. Perfect.
Elizabeth eloquently described their story and their wedding day:
“I first met Jacob at First Baptist Church as a freshman in high school on my very first night singing in the student praise band. At the time, Jacob was a junior in high school and played the electric guitar in the band. We both immediately caught each other’s eye and the flirting began. We even tried to stand next to each other during the prayer after practice because it meant we could hold hands! Nearly half a year of obvious flirting later, Jacob finally got up the nerve to ask me to be his girlfriend after church one night. When he took a moment to pray over me and the future of our relationship, I knew this would be a relationship that would last. From there, we dated for almost 7 years including alternating every two years on and off long-distance. These changes were tricky and not always fun, but we learned how to make it work every time. Over the years, Jacob has continuously pointed me to Christ through his selfless love and giving spirit. He has encouraged and supported me in every ambition and goal I have made. He is my best friend and I can’t imagine a better man to spend the rest of my life with.”
“We chose Scarritt Bennett because we loved the very traditional church feel of Wightman Chapel and because we fell in love with the graceful arches, stained glass windows and beautiful organ. We chose the Loveless Barn for its delicious Southern comfort-food and for its open and fun atmosphere. We wanted a more formal ceremony with a more laid-back and fun reception and these venues fit perfectly! The overall theme that we went for was a romantic garden theme. Classic, yet soft and romantic at the same time.”
